A double chin can be an unpleasant look, and it can be caused by many factors. A double chin is simply an excess of facial fat in the submental area (the space below the chin). This extra fat can accumulate due to many reasons. Those with a family line of uncontrollable fat or sagging skin are also more at-risk to develop a double chin. However, anyone can remove that unwanted chin, provided they follow a few tips and tricks to get rid of a double chin fast.

In order to reduce your double chin, you need to get your upper body into a straight position. This means your shoulders and upper arms must be kept parallel to the ground. Once you’ve got your upper body in this position, you need to relax all your muscles and close your mouth. From here, it’s not difficult to reduce fat from forming in the chin area by pursing your lips. The best way to do this is by tilting your head forward and letting the back of your head drop naturally.


When you get your upper body in a straight position, then you should squeeze your facial muscles together to reduce the amount of excess facial fat. For best results, make this a repetitive motion, which should go on for about five minutes. This will target the submisals, or muscles on the sides of your face. To get rid of double chins, make sure to avoid raising your chin during this exercise, as this will further increase the fatty accumulation in the submental area. Instead, when your chin comes up, just tilt your head backwards.


One easy technique to reduce your double chin involves lipolysis, which is basically the breakdown of fat cells. Lipolysis works well if done in a gradual fashion, which can be done through the application of cold pressure to the affected area. You can use a coolsculpting cream to speed up the process, but make sure that you have your face covered with a cloth or a bandage so that no stray ice bits can fall off.

To get rid of a double chin, you must also tighten the facial skin around the jaw. This is because the skin on your face-which is technically your head-is too loose and sagging, which gives the appearance of a double chin when it bobs up. To solve this problem, cover your face with an anti-wrinkle cream or a facial skin care product. Make sure to apply the product evenly to the jawline, as well as the cheeks and forehead.


If none of these tricks works, then you need to consult your surgeon. He will be able to perform a full upper and lower double chin lift, known as submental liposuction. The procedure consists of using a suction device to suck out all of the excess subcutaneous fat. If your surgeon doesn’t think that your double chin can be treated using these methods, he might suggest other procedures, such as a neck reduction.
